This was one of the first books I bought when I bought my Sous Vide Supreme. I could have picked any book as I have never used the Supreme before and really didn’t know what I was doing. As it turned out, this book was a pretty good buy!

There were some reviews on Amazon which were saying that it was possible to find all the information in the book on the Internet for free, which is probably correct, but it is always nice to have it all compiled in a format which is easy to read when you want some inspiration.

For me it is the starter book that everyone should read. Containing lots of information and guidelines for cooking times, and also on how to cook safely and not poison your dinner guests.

There are loads of recipes in there, which tend to be broken down into how to cook the main event, i.e. the chicken or beef, and then lots of supplementaries on how you can sauce the dish. There are very few pictures in the book though, so if you are looking for some inspiration on how to present the dish, this is not going to do it for you.

I used the information from on to get the perfect Steak, cooked with Carrots, Beetroot and Greens, and use the same timings every time.

One thing I would personally advise it to keep your own notes on cooking times, as I have found that even with set recipes it takes a few attempts before you get things how you like them, and also find the right settings for the meat which you use.

I would recommend this for any Geeky Kitchen!
